About Pacers

The pacer decides on the tactics during the race. So he must know very well what the stayer wants and what the stayer is able to.
The pacer uses the slipstream of his motor to gain an advantage for his stayer during the race.
And by driving in the slipstream the stayer himself keeps out of the wind and is able to reach a much higher speed.
A good pacer spares the stayer during the race, and wins races with him. But he is also his guardian angel. Dangers are everywhere.
